Wave of Kanagawa

The looming sky contrasts
With the harsh shades of the sea
From a distance the crash of the waves
Is unheard and without sound
But imagine the deafening blow
The roiling surf punctures
Into the ears of those sailors
Aboard those rigid
Sea swept crafts
As they are tossed high
And pitched low
By the icy grip
The thrashing ocean holds on them
Along with their uncertain and prayed for fate
